Our new community Day School reflects our commitment to K’Hilat Yisrael and to giving our children outstanding general and Jewish education.  Working Committee names are similarly imbued with emotional and spiritual as well as practical intention.  The Working Committees are described below. If you have any questions regarding our volunteer opportunities, please email Beth Wish at bmw11401@gmail.com.




Working Committees:

1) Matan (offering or gift) - Fundraising Committee

  • soliciting donations, large and small
  • big fundraising events (e.g., dinner dance, journal, silent auction)
  • smaller fundraising events (e.g., selling items in school)
  • finding and applying for grants
  • building and implementing a long term financial vision for RJA 

2) Asafa (gathering of the community) - In-school event community

  • planning and implementing school celebrations and events (e.g., for holidays, staff appreciation, school pictures)
  • class parents (collaborate with teachers to provide help, refreshments, etc.  for class projects, parties, and special celebrations; purchase teachers’ gifts; recognize sorrows or simchas in class families)
  • organize the sale and distribution of weekly challahs
  • assist with the lunch program as needed
  • assist with the functioning of RJA’s physical facility as needed
  • provide tributes, memorials, and assistance to families in need; dissemination of sympathy/mazel tov cards

3) L’Chibuk Olam (embracing the world) - Outreach Committee

  • programs for Jewish families with infants and toddlers
  • collaborative programming with community synagogues
  • outreach to new RJA families
  • publicity and marketing RJA (e.g., online, in newspapers, in person at community events)
