Early Childhood/Extended Day Options (All Ages)

RJA Early Childhood classes (full separate, ages 3 and 4 classes) offer an early childhood preschool Jewish education option for working parents in need of day care hours. Nursery school classes run from 9:30 - 2:30 but an extended day (AM & PM) option is available for all ages/grades. Early drop off as early as 7:30 AM and late pickup as late as 6:00 PM for all prek students offer parents unprecedented flexibility to meet their scheduling needs. More details about Extended Day.
RJA offers special all ages preschool programming for both early drop off and extended after school hours through the late afternoon. Early Childhood at RJA Our Early Childhood curriculum, which takes an “Intentional Teaching” approach, is focused on learning through play. Nursery school is a time of learning, exploration, fun, warmth and holiday-centered celebration. We introduce Jewish values and customs, and the importance of Mitzvot - good deeds. Our nursery school staff nurtures creativity and curiosity in a stimulating and respectful environment, while providing the highest quality general and Judaic Pre-K education. Preschool teachers provide a hands-on, multi-sensory, cooperative learning environment that encourages self expression, listening skills, development of self esteem, initiative, empathy and responsibility. There are separate preschool classes for ages 3 and 4. We teach Hebrew beginning in Pre-K – a significant difference from public and other private schools. Being bilingual has proven to have positive effects on intellectual growth, increased flexibility in thinking, a greater sensitivity to language, and better listening skills.
